dear xx,
there will be an international evening in my college next tuesday. it is a party in which all staff and students participate in order to welcome the international students. we are allowed to bring a friend. so i'm writing to invite you to go with me. the party will take place in the assembly hall at 7:30 pm. everyone is asked to bring an interesting object from his own country or bring some food to share. as we are not good at cooking, i'm thinking about bringing the mascots fuwa of the 2008 olympic games. and i'm sure it will interest the international students if we talk about our experience of being volunteers in beijing during the olympic games. i really hope you can come and i'm sure that we will enjoy ourselves very much.
