another,other, others, the other, the others,any other
another是an+other构成的，意为“再一，又一个，不同的一个”，用作代词时，表示泛指三个及三个以上的不定数目中的“另一个”。another也可用作形容词，一般只用于修饰单数名词，名词前不能再加冠词。例如：
He seems quite another person than what he used to be.他与过去相比，判若两人。
I don't want this one．Please give me another．不想要这个，请给我另来一个吧。
Would you like another glass milk? 再来杯牛奶好吗?
other意为“另外的，别的，其它的”，用作形容词,一般修饰复数名词，也可修饰单数名词，但前面一般要加限定词,如:any other boy；every other line等。例如，
He is taller than any other student in the class. 他比班上的任何学生都高。

另外，other还可以和其它词构成词组，如：other than(与…不同，除……以外) none other(不是别的，而正是)，other than(正是，就是)等。例如：

the other与other用法基本相同，但它一般用于特指，而 other 一般用于泛指.当仅指两个人或事物时,其中一个用"one",而另一个用"the other"例如

others等于other加上所修饰词的复数形式,即:others=other+名词，泛指其它的人或事。例如：
You should take care of others(other people)；你应当关心别人。

the other 是the other +名词的另一种表达形式,意义相同，特指其它的人或事或某一范围内剩下的全部。例如

other 是可做形容词，直接加复数名词或不可数名称。翻译为“其余……”也可做代词，做代词时表示复数意义的话就是others。  others是代词，复数概念，相当于 the other +n.复数（你可以把other 和pthers当作i 和we ，this 和these 等等这样的关系来理解）  the other 除上面讲的情况外，另一种情况就是必须限定数量2 的语言环境，翻译为两个中的另一个，不一定非要用the放在other 前，还会有 my other ,your other 等.需要注意的是这里2的数量不要生硬的理解为2个，2条，2件这样的量词，也可以指一堆/群事物中排除一个或一堆之后剩余的一堆。另外还可以指对面，相反的方向、另一边   another:一般范围是两个人，指的是另外一个；  the other：一般范围是三个人，说另外一个；  others：复数  other：单数
